The Exhaust System's noise level
All internal combustion engines produces "exhaust noise" due to the emission of gases from the cylinders. Reducing the sound energy of the exhaust flow helps to silence the noise. Two basic options are generally combined and used in the exhaust system. Absorption and reflection of the sound.

Vibrations in the Exhaust System

This noise level resembles the crack of an explosion and must be reduced by approx. 50 dB(A) as it travels from the engine exhaust valve to the end of the exhaust system.
